Molly was raised and born in Pennsylvania. Molly began her professional life at the age of 13 in the Philadelphia's Prince Music Theater. The role she played was Little Red Ridinghood shortly after performing in Arden Theater s Into the Woods production, for which she won an Barrymore Award nomination. Molly reprised the role by Molly when she made her Broadway debut in Into the Woods at Broadway in 2002. The show won her a Drama League Award for this performance. Molly was also part of the Broadway revival Fiddler on the Roof, in 2004. She was a student at Princeton University as a Triangle Club Member and received an B.A. In this period that she made her film debut in the Disney film College Road Trip in the role of Wendy Greenhut.
