
Harvey began his career as a comic. He appeared in stand-up comedy shows in the late 1980s. Later, he hosted Showtime at the Apollo and The Steve Harvey Show on The WB. In the following years, after appearing on the Kings of Comedy Tour, his appearance was in The Original Kings of Comedy. The last stand-up comedy show he performed was on in 2012. Harvey is the host of the two shows Family Feud and Celebrity Family Feud, holding this role from 2010. Harvey was also host for Little Big Shots, Little Big Shots Forever Young and Steve Harvey's Funderdome. The four books he wrote include his top-selling Act Like a Lady and Think Like a Man. Steve Harvey Global was Harvey's entertainment company. It houses East 112 productions in addition to various other businesses. Harvey launched the first African edition of Family Feud and also invested in the HDNet purchase alongside Anthem Sports and Entertainment. Together with his wife Marjorie are the founders of The Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused in the field of education for children. Harvey is an seven-time Daytime Emmy Award winner, two-time Marconi Award winner, and 14 times NAACP Image Award winner in diverse categories.
